The Kite Runner

  1. The character that changes in the story is Amir because he was selfish and mean to Hassan. Amir would make fun of Hassan because he couldn't read so he would make up a story. Amir sees Hassan get raped by a bully named Assef. Amir changes throughout the book for the better. Amir unites with Hassan in Kabul and they get along but Hassan gets killed and they take his son Sohrab. Amir finds out Hassan was his step brother by Rahim Khan Baba's bestfriend and sets out to find his nephew Sohrab. Amir finds Sohrab in the hands of Assef his long time enemy. Sohrab raped and beaten makes Amir frustrasted who battles with Assef to get Sohrab. Amir beaten badly wins Assef and flees with his nephew Sohrab. Amir decides to adopt Sohrab and takes him to the U.S to live with him and his wife Soraya.

  2. I personally enjoyed the novel better because I could picture the novel of how things happened as I read. I could picture the city of Kabul like the streets with dirt and the woman wearing there Burqas. The movie was good but the book always has more facts and details. I personally like to read books.

  1. My favorite character is Soraya because she is an understanding wife to Amir. Soraya who cannot have children agrees to adopt Amir's nephew Sohrab. The character I disliked was Assef because he is a bully who rapes Hassan and then rapes his son Sohrab. Assef gets what he deserves.

  1. My favorite scene in the book is the ending because Amir adopts Sohrab and they live in the U.S with his wife Soraya. The ending shows Amir flying a kite with Sohrab and Amir sees hapiness in Sohrab's face.
