The Basking Shark


The basking shark is a Chondrichthyes species. The basking shark relatives are shark's rays, skates, and a few uncommon fishes such as saw fishes and chimaera's. The basking shark live of the coast of California. The most common sightings is in Santa Barbara Channel to the Monterrey Bay. Basking shark's eat flooding plankton. Shark species breathe swimming forward motion and breathe from strained water and back out through their gills. The basking shark develops in an egg and remains with the mother until the shark hatches or is about to hatch. The basking shark is the second largest fish in the world.
